I received my Bachelor’s Degree in August 2000 in Psychology. At that time, I went to work for Family Life Center as a counselor’s aid in the adolescent intensive outpatient program.
I began working at DHR in Cleburne County in 2001 and acted as a foster care worker, family preservation worker, an investigations worker, adult services worker, and a supervisor. After 15 years, I left to pursue my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I graduated with my degree in October 2018 and began working as a counselor, under the supervision of Dr. David Cunningham, CBS’s director. I went back to school to receive my Education Specialist Degree with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health and graduated in May of 2021. I inherited the company from Dr. Cunningham and became full director in June 2021.
Currently, I practice in Clinical Mental Heath, in my 5th year as a counselor. I work with ages 6 – Adult, offering parenting, domestic violence, and mental health counseling.

I have been a trauma therapist since 2008. I am also a trained forensic interviewer. I specialize in childhood trauma.
I am trained in TF-CBT (Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). I serve as the Clinical Director at the Calhoun Cleburne Children’s Center in Anniston. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an M.S. and EdS in Agency Counseling from JSU.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Certified Counselor.
After completing my Educational Specialist (Ed.S) degree in Clinical Mental Health at Jacksonville State University in 2014, I began practicing counseling.
In addition to caring for patients through Comprehensive Behavioral Services, I have experience practicing in several community agency settings including but not limited to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT), and facilitating Peer Support Programs.
My theoretical approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Person-Centered Therapy.
The primary language spoken remains English. Outside of behavioral health care and in my free time, I enjoy family time, shopping, and a love for the Dallas Cowboys.
